So, so true.. I can’t watch the Roadshow anymore, and avoid all the daytime twaddle as luckily I’m busy enough. It’s annoying and I suspect it’s a combination of TV producers desperate to sensationalise anything from the televisual clay they are usually working with, it’s a viscous circle….
I do agree though I could name a few who, I think, have considerable knowledge, usually in a particular field. One such has the initials MB but there are others. They are always worth listening to as they are enthusiastic about their subject. One silent expert that I love is the hallmark. So much precise detail in such a small space though even then there are rogues. And I hate to hear an "expert' say that something is hallmarked when, in fact, it is stamped 925. Ahhggrr!

So often seen on television programmes. Just reminds me of the saying a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
